QC Lead

Ho Chi Minh City

The main duties include:

 

  1. Test Planning
  • Document and implement test plans (scope, strategy, estimation, budget, schedule, resources management), processes and standards.
  • Develop and continually refine test plans, processes and standards.
  • Cover functional, display, technical testing, manual and/or automation.
  • Review and revise acceptance criteria to guarantee they are fit for fulfilled purposes.
  • Maintain the test automation framework and ensure that appropriate testing tools are selected and applied optimally.

 

  1. Teamwork:
  • Work closely with clients to clarify their testing needs, project scope and planning.
  • Work closely with Business analysts to check test plan coverage and priorities.
  • Work closely with Project managers to plan testing early in the development cycle.
  • Work closely with QA Lead/Product Owner/Project manager to have proper test strategy, schedule to fit with project context, priority and time range.
  • Interact regularly and proactively with Developers to prevent regression issues;
  • Attend project meetings to get and provide updates to other team members.
  • Manage project teams and optimize resource allocation, assignments.

 

  1. Methodology and Practice
  • Tailor and efficiently apply software testing process to fit with project context.
  • Follow, improve and enforce a bug workflow to facilitate reporting;
  • Come up with suggestions to improve overall quality and productivity;
  • Analyze the specifications and clarify expectations with clients
  • Review test cases, bugs and qualify bug’s severity and priority
  • Design and execute test cases in various types of testing and testing levels.

 

  1. Reporting
  • Produce test reports to project managers and customers on a timely basis
  • Report on product quality and test coverage at each release with KPIs
  • Raise concerns to the project manager in time, and actively suggest plans of actions to lower the risks.
  • Manage and report QC projects’ budget situation to higher manager.

 

  1. Team build up
  • Involve in recruitment process to hire new members
  • Mentor team members, suggest and operate training programs to upgrade team skill set.
  • Evaluate team performance and competencies and define SMART targets.
  • Define the strategy to scale up the team.
  • Build up team spirit, motivation and engagement.





Desired Skills and Experience

 

 

  • At least 4 years of testing experience and 2-year experience on team management.
  • Good at defining test strategy and estimation
  • At least 2 years on web application testing/ mobile application testing
  • Good understanding of various types of testing and test management tools

 

  • Good knowledge/ experience in responsive testing
  • Customer focused, initiative spirit
  • Open-minded and flexible in project’s process tailoring
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and presentation skill
  • Good analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with Desktop and Mobile browser as well as browser inspector
  • Efficient use of MS Excel and/ or Google Spreadsheet
  • Good English communication in verbal and written
  • Knowledge/experience on the following subjects is an advantage

    • Atlassian Jira
    • load testing
    • performance testing
    • Basic knowledge on HTML / CSS, client/server flow
    • Technical SEO
    • Experience of automated testing tools (Selenium Drivers)
